Mike Sproule - Owner-Founder
Mike Sproule, is a native of Galena, Il and operates his Construction Company in Galena serving the Tri State Area for over 40 years. Mike is married to Laurie Beadle Sproule (his high school sweetheart). The two of them started out in life early as young adults working hard to raise their family of two children (Anna and Nicholas) and now enjoy three grandchildren.
Mike attended NICC Trade School after high school and is a Certified Welder, however, he knew he wanted to go to work under his father, Ken Sproule in the family construction business as that is what he grew up doing and still loves to do to this day.
Mike’s knowledge of the area’s terrain, past construction experiences, and knowing so many people in the area is invaluable. His experience in starting out in the trenches down in the hole with a shovel in hand has never left him and today you will still find him jumping off the equipment to crawl down in with the Team and do his part.
Mike enjoys some travel in the winter months when time allows, but his biggest hobby is sitting on the bleachers watching the grands do their sports, sing in the choir, act in the school play, enjoying a ride in his old car and just sitting and watching the sunset after a hard day of work on his beloved Family Ancestor’s Farm The Circle S Ranch which he lives on. A Farm established in 1837 by his Irish Immigrants.
Mike’s Motto is and always will be “Give The Customer A Good Job, Be Honest and Fair” and they’ll call again. He loves becoming friends after the end of the job with the customers too in sharing a drink while they admire the job together.
Laurie Beadle-Sproule – President
Clarke College with a B.S. in Business Admin
Laurie grew up in Galena in a large family with six siblings. Laurie started earning for herself with babysitting jobs at the age of 10, corn detasseling at the age of 13 and various clerical positions during high school. Laurie enjoys working with the public and meeting people. She is also our in house Sales/PR Gal, enjoying an occasional golf outing and pickleball game!
After high school, Laurie and her high school sweetheart (Mike Sproule) married.
After working for 20 years in the corporate field as an HR/Benefits Administrator, Laurie chose to go to work with Mike and the family in 2005.
Laurie is hands on with Staff in day to day operations, focusing on the Marketing, Finance and Accounting Operations. She stresses the Corporate Mantra of “Keeping Doing What We Do and Do It Well!
Matt Heller - Partner
Matt Heller, Age 45, was raised in rural Galena on the Family Farm. At an early age, Matt knew what having a good work ethic in life meant. What he learned in those young years he has successfully carried over into his business. “Do Your Best, Be Present and always Treat the Customer Fair”. Matt is a skilled communicator with Customers. He is a knowledgeable and helpful voice on the phone or happy to meet in person!
Matt Graduated from Galena High School and then furthered is post education at Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta Iowa. He is a tradesman in several construction areas making him an essential part of the Company.
Matt and his wife, Anna Sproule-Heller have three children. The next generation is called on to help out when needed and will often be seen riding along with Grandpa Mike or their Dad.
Nikki Frank - Director of Operations
Nikki was born and raised in Galena. She has been with Mike and Nick Sproule Construction since September 2019. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2002 with a BA in Political Science and the University of Dubuque in 2016 with a master’s degree in Business Administration. She currently lives in Galena with her husband Jason and their two daughters Jayme and Paige.
